My Lonely Soldier is a webcomic about loyalty, memories, and the consequences of being given a sword as an adolescent.

In the nation of Nerva, an aimless young boy named Beck is a struggling student at the renowned Hearth Academy, the top training center for the Soldiers who run Nerva's politics, religion, and borders. Despite his best efforts, Beck always seems to fall short of his dreams to serve his nation and make his Headmistress proud - that is, until a mysterious student named Laura approaches him with a strange opportunity: become a Knight, a secret class of Soldiers who works alongside the Headmistress to carry out her biddings. As he's drawn deeper into the job, he comes closer to his nation's forgotten underbelly.

While I officially began this project in July 2022, these characters have been floating around in my head since I was a child. As these characters have grown with me, so too has this story and world expanded into new genres and narratives. As its core though, My Lonely Soldier is a collection of 11-year-old me's imaginings of troubled teens with superpowers.
